Lesson Observations are a powerful way to improve one’s teaching and learning.
Step 1 – Choose a Data Observation Sheet

Step 2 – Choose a Lesson to Observe
Thinkdrive has developed 3 x Classroom video footage. Here is one for practise:
Step 3 – Conduct the Lesson Observation and complete the Data Observation Sheet
Step 4: Feedback
Provide feedback to the teacher based on your Data Observation Sheet. Thinkdrive uses an Assertive Conversation Model.
Step 5: Goal Setting
As a result of the lesson observations, the teacher should set 3-5 goals.
- What resources / activities are needed to achieve these goals?
- What types of evidence can be used to indicate progress towards these goals?
